Peter Drake was Managing Director of Kingsland Sawmills from 1988 to 2017, where his team of carpenters built and erected  wooden structures throughout the UK, and parts of Northern Europe. 

The company built up an enviable reputation for beautifully designed buildings and outstanding customer service.   Their portfolio included buildings for private clients as well as corporate institutions, and they have won awards for their designs.

Their clients include royalty, actors, celebrities, the National Trust, The Woodland Trust, Government departments etc as well as smaller organisations such as cricket, bowling, sailing and polo clubs etc.

After nearly 30 years of manufacturing, Peter decided to specialise in the design and planning side of the business.  His extensive  experience has given him an in depth understanding of all aspects of the timber industry so he can design using standard timber sizes and lengths to minimise waste.

It also means he can achieve designs using timber which others would not imagine possible.
